D. Faulkner Ministries was birthed out of a vision given by God in 2007. The passion to serve and ignite a fire within the believer to gain knowledge, information, and a more sound foundational understanding of the Infinite God - is like fire shot up in my bones. On August 16, 2007 my mother passed away from a massive stroke. My mother was my hero; she inspired me everyday of my life and it was her passing that pushed me onward to start this ministry. My mother was a God-fearing woman, and she always encouraged me to do what I can to help others as she did. My mother was my biggest fan and supporter and loved to hear me preach the gospel. It is in her memory that I serve God and man in this way.

The vision God gave me for D. Faulkner Ministries was for it to be a teaching ministry yet have various aspects of service to meet the needs of God's children. Under the guise of D. Faulkner Ministries the Faith Defenders Bible study group was established. Previously known as the "Faithful Bible study group," the name was changed but the in depth study continued as the Faith Defenders Bible study group. The Faith Defenders Bible study group is open to anyone desiring to study and learn the Gospel of Jesus Christ. For more than ten years this bible study group has met and dealt with a variety of topics from a biblical perspective and have had in-depth discussions on many of the books of the Bible. Open discussion and student suggested topics are among the things that make this study unique to other bible studies. Additionally, this Bible study has sought to make the seemingly long 18 inch journey from our head to our heart by putting biblical knowledge into practice. Bible study is an intrical part of spiritual formation and through the Faith Defenders Bible study group we are assisting believers to grow stronger in their spiritual formation week after week to the glory of God.

Under the guise of D. Faulkner Ministries the Faith Defender Bible Institute(TM) was founded. The Faith Defender Bible Institute was birthed out of the desire to irradicate "biblical illiteracy." It is believed that the average Christian does not know the basics about the Word of God. Additionally, there are ministers who have been called to preach and teach the gospel, but because of the lack of resources or time available to them are unable to attend Bible college or seminary. The Faith Defender Bible Institute was also created to assist believers in discerning their call to ministry. Through this specialized ministry study the saints learn more than the average church Bible study will offer; the minister gains foundational theological and biblical understanding at the level near that of Bible college or seminary; and those still discerning their call to ministry are able to discover what God has for them to do in His service. Faith Defender Bible Institute is offered in the fall and spring and an enrollment application and application fee must be paid in order to participate.
